BIOGRAPHY'S
DAVID MULDREW
David Muldrew is a well known singer/songwriter and radio presenter from Newry in Co.Down. He is a former winner of the Ballyshannon Song Festival and has recently been awarded the Tommy Makem Festival of Song Award for his contribution of adding new music and preserving traditional music in todays world. David has travelled and played professionally on four continents and has worked extensively on some groundbreaking productions such as Ripples of Hope, jhe was alson involved in music for the much acclaimed film the Magdalene Sisters and had his song Donegal Rain recorded worldwide as part of Celtic Women.
In the past few years he has been playing with an array of shows and bands and has been involved as a session musician on the BBC productions of Burns Night with the Ulster Orchestra, the Olympic Torch Events in Northern Ireland, The Santer programme on BBC, Muisc from Brownlow house on the BBC plus others and has also recorded for St Patricks Armagh Festival for PBS America and for programmes with Aoife Ni Fearraigh on RTE and TG4
AIDAN LENNON
Aidan is an Irish musician and singer from one of Irelands best known traditional Irish muisc and dance families, his mother and two sisters being among the worlds best known dance judges and finest Irish dancers. Aidan is an experienced and talented fiddle and mandolin player and carries in his head, one of the most comprehensive collection of traditional tunes you will ever hear. He has been playing with The Upducky Band over the past ten years alongside his other musical commitments and has entertained audiences in the USA, Norway, Zambia, Saudi Arabia, France, Spain and Canada, he is also known to sing a fine song on reuest.
DANIEL DOYLE
Daniel is a regular member of the Upducky Band and has recently been to Saudi Arabia and Norway on tour with the band. He is a brilliant flute and whistle player and has been labelled as the Jimi Hendrix of the Irish Flute world by the Irish Music Magazine..He plays regularly with the legendary Irish folk rock group THE POGUES, has recently played on Tracy Chapmans latest CD and works with some of Irelands best known bands as a sought after studio session musician . |
Luis is one of the top percussionist / drummers in Scandinavia and is a very busy professional studio drummer and arranger. He works with some of Europes leading studio's, bands and record labels and is a specialist on the cahon. He specialises in Spanish Flamenco, South American and Arabic rhythms and this diversity mixed with the rhythms of Irish music brings a unique dimension to why he is now a regular player with some of Irelands top traditional and contemporary bands like The Upducky Band
William Dundon is one of Irelands fast up and coming box accordion players. He is a composer of unique and exciting tunes and is becoming acknowledged as one of the country's finest singers with a voice which has been described as silk.
William is a Member of the travelling community and is a connection of the famous travelling uileann piper Johnny Felix Doran
